Sítio São Jorge — Specialty Coffees

Specialty Coffees

For 30 years we have grown coffee with family dedication in the Cerrado Mineiro region. Award-winning quality, from bean to cup.

Our Story

Jander Pacheco

My name is Jander Pacheco, son of Mr. Jorge and Mrs. Marlene. I am married to Daniela, and together we are parents of little Mariana.

As an agronomist (graduated in 2016), I apply academic knowledge — combined with the wisdom that daily fieldwork teaches us — directly at our Sítio São Jorge. I am deeply grateful for the life we lead here, surrounded by my family and everything this land provides.

30 years cultivating excellence

The Oliveira Pacheco family has dedicated itself to coffee growing for three decades. Year after year, our mission has been to refine the quality of our beans and deliver the best coffee.

For us, working the land as a family is our greatest strength. We are building a story that goes far beyond the field: it is about shared love, companionship, exchange of experiences and a deep respect for our roots and the environment that welcomes us.

Our Coffee

Patience, Sweetness and Quality

Coffees produced at Sítio São Jorge cross borders: our beans reach cups throughout the domestic market and abroad.

The secret to this quality starts in the field. We take meticulous care to wait for the cherries to ripen as much as possible on the plant. We monitor the development of the field day by day to ensure the beans are uniform before we begin harvesting.

This respect for nature's timing is fundamental. Finishing the cycle correctly on the tree ensures cherries with excellent consistency and the maximum development of their natural sweetness. It is this dedication that allows us to deliver coffees of the highest quality.

Our Cultivated Varieties

Our soil and climate favor the development of exceptional beans. We work with the following varieties:

Red cherry beans on the sieve — IAC-99 variety

IAC-99 (Catuaí)

A classic and much appreciated variety. In the cup, it usually delivers a velvety body, balanced acidity and striking sensory notes reminiscent of chocolate and caramel.

Yellow beans on the sieve — Arara variety

Arara

Known for its excellence. Arara coffee surprises with intense sweetness, often bringing notes of yellow fruits, plus a clean, smooth and very pleasant finish.

Red cherry beans on the sieve — Catuaí 144 variety

Catuaí 144

A coffee that expresses the strength of our work very well. It presents excellent body and high natural sweetness, reinforcing the consistency and standard we seek in every harvest.

5th Place — Natural Category

To our great joy, we won 5th place in the Natural category at the 11th Cerrado Mineiro Region Award. Seeing our coffees stand out among the best is the greatest reward for our effort and what gives us even more strength to work the land.

The Award-Winning Microlot

This special lot was the result of much love, care and a rigorous harvest. During the drying phase, we were entirely focused on controlling the moisture of the cherries and we ran several cuppings to evaluate the cup potential, ensuring maximum quality.

The result in the cup was spectacular: a full-bodied beverage, with high acidity and a long, pleasant finish. The sensory notes revealed a complex and sweet profile, with yellow fruits, citrus fruits, vanilla, anise, chocolate and brown sugar.

A Historic Auction and a Solidarity Commitment

The crowning of this work happened at the closing auction of the award. Our microlot, made up of 5 bags of 60kg, was sold for an impressive R$ 17,000.00 per bag.

More than a milestone for Sítio São Jorge, this sale was an opportunity to give back to the community: we donated 70% of the total amount raised to the construction of Hospital de Amor in Patrocínio (MG, Brazil).

In addition to the in-person event, the auction also took place online through the M-Cultivo platform. Our deep gratitude goes to the buyers who value quality coffee: Mokaclub, Casa Brasil and CARPEC (Carmo do Paranaíba Agricultural Cooperative), which even released a limited edition lot featuring our coffee.
